On 16th October 2012 the network ‘Textile Innovation’ of the Bayern Innovativ Ltd. conceives the second congress ‘Textiles in construction and architecture’ in collaboration with the Association of the Bavarian Textile and Clothing Industry and with support of the Bavarian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology.
Textiles are classified as the fifth construction material – besides steel, glass, concrete and wood.
The congress will address the following topics amongst others:
- Textile solutions for future city trends
- Functional membranes for adaptive construction
- Development of textile reinforcement structures
- Innovations for energy efficiency and sustainability
Experts from Zaha Hadid, Hightex, Fraunhofer, Sefar, LIBA, SGL, RWTH Aachen, the University of Stuttgart or GEOscope amongst others present latest developments, trends and future innovation capabilities.
The accompanying exhibition offers a perfect possibility to establish new contacts for future cooperation projects.
