On November 1, 2013, in Moscow, at the «Open Innovations Forum», the Fund for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology (FASIE) held a seminar «FASIE international programs as a tool for promoting the internationalization of small Russian enterprises». The seminar was focused at the presentation of a wide range of tools offered by FASIE to small innovation enterprises for supporting their internationalization. The seminar was organized jointly with the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). FASIE supports the project of the Russian participation in the EEN (Gate2RuBIN / EEN-Russia).
«The internationalization of small enterprises in Russia is one of the key priorities of our work» - stressed Sergey Polyakov, CEO of FASIE.
The importance of the development and support of innovative cooperation between Russia and the European Union was also highlighted by Richard Burger (Science Counsellor Delegation of the European Commission to Russia). The new Framework Programme for Research and Innovation “Horizon 2020” is oriented at supporting the cooperation based on mutual benefits for Russian and European enterprises.
Jasper Hemmes (EEN-Netherlands / Syntens) spoke about the European experience in combining the opportunities provided by EEN and the national support programs. His presentation was devoted to the examples of practical support given to Dutch companies.
In the final part of seminar, the representatives of EEN-Russia /Gate2RuBIN consortium, Lubomir Trifunovic and Anton Yanovsky, told about the possibilities and mechanisms of EEN to initiate international projects for small enterprises. In 2011-2012, with the assistance from Gate2RuBIN, 70 cooperation agreements were signed between Russian and European organizations, 40 projects prepared for Russian and European large-scale innovation support programs.
