The Gate2RuBIN Project Coordination Team - Anton Yanovsky, Alexander Lartchikov and Olga Ermakova – gave an overview of Gate2RuBIN results in 2008-2009. Gate2RuBIN Team Leader Anton Yanovsky informed that the project provided practical support to ~4000 clients, 900 visits were made to Russian companies, 467 technological audits were performed, over 300 technological offers prepared, over 200 information meetings and presentations held in many regions of Russia.
An important result of the Gate2RuBIN project was establishing partnerships between Russian and European companies and R&D organizations. To date, the Russian Gate2RuBIN clients have signed 10 partnership agreements with European counterparts: 4 business agreements, 4 agreements of technological cooperation and 2 FP7 applications.
Russian companies presented their international “success stories” achieved through Gate2RuBIN support. They underlined a high level of Gate2RuBIN services and their originality for Russia. According to Elena Obraztsova, Head of Laboratory at A.M.Prokhorov General Physics Institute (RAS), at first she didn’t believe that she would be able to be integrated into FP7. However, due to Gate2RuBIN support, the Laboratory was included into a consortium of leading European R&D organizations that submitted an application to an FP7 Call.
Due to cooperation with Gate2RuBIN, Russian clients received better opportunities for partner search in Europe. They were able to take part in different brokerage events, international calls and programs.
According to Hicham Abghay from Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum (Germany), the Gate2RuBIN conference “offered an excellent opportunity to meet with representatives from different organisations coming from all Russia in one spot. It also was very informative to know about the possible bilateral funding schemes directly”.
Vassilios Argyroulis, HELP-FORWARD (Greece): “I would like to thank all the members of the Gate2Rubin team for the excellent organization of the event and their hospitality. I strongly believe that this initiative will give the ground for further cooperation between both our organizations and our countries.
